Matching funds are available through July 31st for Hastings Family Service through the Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless Summer Challenge. HFS will receive a proportionate match based on the amount raised throughout the month of July. The more funds donated to HFS in July, the larger the matching grant from Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless will be.

According to Hunger Solutions, there were over 3.8 million visits to MN food shelves last year. That equals seven people visiting a food shelf every minute if all food shelves in MN were open 24 hours/day and 7 days/week. In Hastings, nearly half of those assisted by the Market food shelf at HFS are children.
