He was born July 12, 1956 in Milaca, Minnesota to George and Rosalie (Walbridge) Savage, was a talented athlete in school and graduated with the class of 1974 from Hastings High School.

Mike married the late Debbie Kummer and together had a son.

He worked locally and traveled numerous states for 30 plus years with Koch Industries throughout his career. Mike was successful and dedicated to the industry. He married Debbie Cross later in life, loving her family like his own.

Mike enjoyed taking Michael to hockey and attending his high school golf matches growing up, spending time at the family cabin on Long Lake, fishing and golf trips with his friends and recently retiring to Crosslake, MN in his dream cabin.

Being a Grandpa was one of his proudest accomplishments he got to enjoy with Michael and Beth, and anytime spent at the course or on a lake fishing made him happy.

He was the funniest guy in the room with an infectious laugh that will be greatly missed. Mike had the power to lift spirits and put a smile on everyone’s face. He lived his life to the fullest and loved the people he surrounded himself with. He always embraced the opportunity to entertain and help people in their need.
