Donna M. Ringeisen, age 91 of Hastings, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Tuesday evening, March 12, 2024.

Donna Mae, the daughter of Nicholas and Margaret (Hubley) Yokanovich, was born on May 22, 1932, in South St. Paul. Following her graduation from South St. Paul High School with the class of 1950, Donna was united in marriage to Darvin Deane Ringeisen on August 17, 1957, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in South St. Paul. They met at a gas station in Cannon Falls while Donna was driving around with friends in her light blue and white Ford. Donna was a dedicated homemaker who cared not only for her family, but was there to help anyone in need. Donna enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting ceramic dolls, as well as cooking to share her talents with family and friends. Following Deane’s retirement, they moved to Hillman, Minnesota where they enjoyed being active in many ways, and later returned to Hastings to be closer to family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darvin Deane; and by her siblings, Bob, Paul, Elaine, Joyce Marcia, and Sharon; and by her many in-law’s.

Donna is survived by her children, Daniel (Ann) Ringeisen, Susan (Robert) Kummer, Todd (Tammy) Ringeisen, Robert Ringeisen, Marcia (Robert) Kosturock, Joel Ringeisen, and Lori (Jason) Granec; fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren with an additional on the way soon; sister, Lois Bauer; brother and sisters-in-law, Arlene Ringeisen, Ray Hopp, and Adrienne Yokanovich; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, loving neighbors, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with Father David Hennen officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 10-11 a.m., and to a reception immediately following the service, all at church on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, Donna’s family requests memorials be made to Hastings Family Service in her memory.
