DARTS, a community-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults and caregivers, announces the retirement of its President, Ann Bailey, effective July 2025. Ann Bailey has been a pivotal figure in the organization, leading with dedication and vision for the past decade. Her commitment to DARTS’ mission of creating connections that enrich aging has been unwavering, and her impact will be felt for many years to come.
Under Ann’s leadership, the DARTS team has expanded its services to all of Dakota County and now includes southern Ramsey and southern Washington counties. Through increased community engagement, the lives of countless older adults have been significantly improved. The important work and impact of DARTS has been recognized by area chambers of commerce as Business of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year, and a Champion of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. “I am honored to have had the opportunity to lead this incredible team doing vital work for the community,” said Bailey, “DARTS is ready for new leadership and new ideas to propel us into the next 50 years. DARTS has given me so much. I will be an ongoing financial supporter as I watch them continue to evolve.”
As DARTS prepares for this transition, the organization is launching a search for a new President. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and visionary leader with a passion for serving older adults and a proven track record in strategic leadership and community outreach.
"We are incredibly grateful for Ann's leadership, the great team she has built, and the positive changes she has brought to DARTS," said Michele Engdahl, Chair of the DARTS Board of Directors. "We are committed to finding a successor who will build on her legacy, advance our mission, and lead DARTS into the next phase of growth to meet our diverse community needs."
