Dakota County, state leaders to unveil We Are Water MN exhibit

Traveling installation to be featured at Pleasant Hill Library

Dakota County’s Pleasant Hill Library in Hastings will host We Are Water MN, a traveling exhibit that celebrates the importance of water to Minnesota. Displays, educational information and handson activities will tell Dakota County’s water stories — the history, its cultural importance to Indigenous people and the many ways it affects our lives.

Activities will include buttonmaking, coloring sheets and a water bar where you can sample different sources of water from across the county.

We Are Water MN also includes an outdoor exhibit at Dakota County’s Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan. Visitors can read stories and learn more about water in the county.

We Are Water MN will be at Pleasant hill Library until Dec. 5, 2022.

Exhibit opening: 5–8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 A welcome event will be from 5–6 p.m. The exhibit and activities for the public will be open from 6–8 p.m.

•Tannie Eshenauer, Minnesota Department of Health Pleasant Hill Library is located at 1490 S. Frontage Road, Hastings
