The cross-country team has the least amount of competitions of all the fall sports this year. A total of four. Under normal conditions, a large portion of their meets are large meet formats, which is not allowed this season. Three teams total can participate in one meet, even those meets will likely have staggered starts to try to space out competitors. The safety precautions for participants are to maintain space as best as possible and wearing masks when not actively running or cooling down. There will also be a limit of 25 runners per grouping, which includes starts. The plan is to have two minutes between the starts of each group when there are more than 25 runners. This year Hastings has 21 boys and 13 girls on the team.
