Cross country had two meets this past week, the first, and more important one was the Metro East Conference preview on Tuesday the 14th. Both the boys and girls performed well, both finishing in fourth place overall.
The boy’s top finisher was Senior Tyler Bushinski in sixth place over all with a time of 17:20.2. Two Rivers Magnus Herschbach finished first with a time of 16:35.7 The girl’s top finisher was Elise Atkins in 18th at 23:30.5. First place went to Simley’s Megan Gullerud at 20:26.0.
On Thursday, the team travelled to Rochester for an invite. Head Coach John Dewall had everyone run in the JV race to take it easy because it is not a good idea to run two hard races in a week, especially with only one day of rest between the races.
The team travels to Hudson on Tuesday, September 21 then has a their next race October 1st at Redwing.
