Cross Country running is physically and mentally challenging, so when a team is asked to attend an invitational, you know they are doing both well. Hastings ran at the Dewey Minnehart Invitational at St. Croix Regional Bluffs on Thursday, another beautiful day for racing.
Girls JV went first, Alison Weinzettel finished 12th with a time of 26:25.50 followed by Jaylyn Pistner in 20th with a 27:46.33 and rounding out the JV race was Carly Kardosky in 26th with a time of 29:24.29.
The Raiders girls’ varsity ran next taking fourth overall with 115 points. Eastridge took first with 37.
Boys JV race was the third event and Hastings had no racers for that event.
Boys Varsity finished the day with Hastings taking seventh overall with a score of 144. East Ridge took first with 62.
