Andrea Kullman, Director of the Hastings TLC, is proud to announce on Saturday August 7, 2021 a free concert to benefit the “Hastings TLC” will be performed at the Hastings Rotary Pavilion from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Donations will be appreciated.
“The music performers performing their favorite music range in ages from their twenties to the seventy’s,” says Pete Likes, concert arranger. “These individuals and others always step forward whenever I announce an upcoming concert to benefit any nonprofit charitable organization in the Hastings area. They want to share their talents and give back to the community.”
Here is a little snippet about each person scheduled to perform: Pete Likes, local cemetery caretaker for over 50 years, retired 22 years Minnesota National Guard member. Pete says, “Music has been a part of my life since I began performing back in 1965. It’s an honor to share my talents and give back to the community.”
Terry Crisp. I met Pete Likes over 30 years ago in the Mn National Guard where he and other musicians joined in on performing evenings. I just like getting together with family and friends and jam.
Megan Pleviak, former musical liturgist at St Elizabeth Ann Seton church, accompanist at St Josephs in Prescott and now an elementary school teacher in St.Paul.
Mark Laska is a local vocal artist who has performed in many cities in American and countries in Europe.
Neil Matsch, a Prudential insurance agent, former guitar teacher at Bob’s music and multi-talented performer.
Bob Freiermuth, retired Septic System designer and installer and retired Army Reservist with over 25 years of service.
Florence Solomon, a recent college graduate from Plano,Texas hoping to complete her masters this fall.
Gary Fender, whose been in and around music since the 1970’s. Backround singer and recording artist in Nashville,Tn. He and his wife Pat (The Fenders) traveled the country performing for years.
Phil Lynch, accountant at St Elizabeth Ann Seton and sound system engineer for over 40 years in and around the Twin Cities.
TLC of Hastings Pregnancy and Parenting Resource Center is a ministry that serves our community by providing life-affirming pregnancy and parenting education and support. These services are possible because of the amazing support of individuals, churches, businesses and organizations. TLC does not receive any state or federal funding.
Aside from this wonderful concert, TLC will be hosting a banquet with Super Bowl Champion, Matt Birk as the featured speaker on September 16th. Details of that can be found at tlcbnanquet.com. Reservations are required.
