City to roll out new financial payment software system

Posted

The City of Hastings is implementing a new financial payment system. Effective end of day May 7, the current Municipal Online Payments website, along with the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Text-to-Pay phone options, will no longer be available.
The new online payment system will be live on May 13 and will include the option to set up auto pay using either a credit/debit card or bank account. All customers who wish to continue to auto pay their bills will need to re-enroll in the new system. All online payments will incur a nominal transaction fee due to added cyber security features. To avoid any convenience fees, customers can pay their bill with a paper check or cash in person or by mail. The IVR and Text-to-Pay options will be available again in the future by the new software vendor.
All customers currently receiving their utility bills that were signed up for an Autopay Draft on May 20, 2024 via a bank account will have to make this payment manually. Payments will not be automatically drafted from their bank account.
