During the past couple months, the City Council and senior staff have met in a series of facilitated work sessions to help City leadership work together on key initiatives. This initial planning will wrap up in early summer, but the plan will continue to evolve as new initiatives are completed and others are added.
At this point in the planning process, the City Council has identified four broad areas of priority: • People, Processes, Infrastructure, and Finance – focuses on the maintenance, stewardship, and continuous improvement of City assets.
• Community Image and Public Engagement – focuses on the City’s interaction with our residents and businesses, as well as supporting tourism and visitors.
• Parks and Public Spaces – focuses on beautification and maintaining our parks and other public areas and amenities.
• Housing and Economic Development – focuses on balanced growth that promotes economic vitality and economically sustainable operations.
Through the work sessions, a series of initiatives are being developed as the action plan within the framework of these priorities. As work advances on these initiatives, the City will provide regular progress reports.
