Downtown develoopment, 211-unit apartment buildings expected to come before City Council for approval March 7
Arichtectural renderings for two major apartment development under consideration in the City of Hastings were rleeased. At left, the Flats on 3rd development is proposed on the former UBC Lumber site on the east side of the downtown area. The City Council held a public hearing on the proposal and a development district necessary to aid in the project at its meeting Feb. 22. The building would be located on Bailey Street, between 3rd and 4th Streets. Developer is Nathan Stencil, who has been working the last year on the project with the Hastings Economic Development and Redevelpment Authority. Below, the Enclave Apartments is a proposed 211 unit, two building project which would be built between Coborn’s and Terry Hardware.
A public hearing on that development was also held Tuesday, with final approval planned at the March 7 City Council meeting.
