The Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Hastings branch of the American Association of University Women and Hastings Community Television, will host a candidate meet-and-greet and legislative forum Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hastings City Hall, 101 Fourth St. E.
The free event will begin with a candidate meet-and-greet from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Candidates for Dakota County commissioner District 1, Hastings mayor and Hastings City Council at-large seats have been invited to participate.
A forum featuring candidates for Minnesota House District 41B and Minnesota Senate District 41 will begin at 7 p.m. House candidates William Beck, a Republican, and Jen Fox, a DFLer, are scheduled to participate, along with Senate candidates Tom Dippel, a Republican, and Judy Seeberger, a DFLer.
The Chamber is accepting suggested questions and topics at Kristy@hastingsmn.org. The forum will also be streamed live by Hastings Community Television and shown on Xfinity channels 15 and 859.
