Brooke Daniels had a dream to own her own bridal boutique, a dream that stemmed from a longtime love of weddings. Daniels started as a wedding planner, then became a bridal boutique dress stylist to owning her own brick and mortar shop located at 8599 West Point Douglas Road. (The same building as the Cottage Grove License Center.)

Bride and Jewel Co. held their grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 5. Mayor Myron Bailey was on hand with a variety of Chamber Ambassadors to celebrate the occasion.

Daniels, a Cottage Grove graduate, initially opened Bride and Jewel Co. as an online only shop. That went so well, she quickly decided she needed to have a physical storefront. The store has more than bridal dresses, there is a great selection of formal dresses that will work for proms as well. They can also make personalized bridesmaid gifts as well as other gifts for events.

Brooke and her husband Ryan did as much of the work as they could to keep costs low to get open as quickly as possible and they did a great job with the space. It is very inviting, allows people to browse and yet get that one on one, personalized service.

The store will be managed by their daughter Grace and any Park student or alumni can receive a ten percent discount at Bride and Jewel Co. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday. Tuesday 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
