Hastings senior living center, Benedictine Living Community – Regina will see their first rounds of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine on January 7th, 2021 according to a press release from Interim Administrator, Maggie Holm.
Hastings, MN – January 7th will be a historic day at Benedictine Care Community-Regina as residents and employees will roll up their sleeves and receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Bluestone Physicians will be onsite administering the first dose of the long awaited Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. The second dose will be administered on February 4th.
“We are both excited and hopeful that this will be a first step to ending this pandemic,” said Maggie Holm, Interim Administrator. “We want our residents to be able to freely visit with their family and friends and to give and receive hugs. At Benedictine Living Community – Regina our residents’ health and safety is our priority. All the measures we have implemented over these past months were to safeguard them. It is important for everyone to get vaccinated so these wishes can come true.”
The vaccine’s arrival won’t immediately alter the current visitation restrictions that are mandated by state and federal guidance. “We are thankful that this is a start, but we don’t anticipate that the restrictions will change until the number of cases in the broader community start to decrease as well.”
Regina, a member of Benedictine, a non-profit, faith-based senior care organization, offers a variety of living options that allow residents to live a more fulfilling life.
