St. Croix Valley Genealogical Society to Meet – 11/17/22 7:00 p.m.

Shirleen Hoffmann will present ‘FamilySearch, with Emphasis on Unindexed Records’ at the next meeting of SCVGS on November 17 at 7 p.m. Emphasis will be on how to search the unindexed records on FamilySearch, which comprise about 70 percent of the records available on the website; these records will not show up in the search results when searching in the Historical Records Collection. The meeting is virtual only. Members will receive a Zoom link to the meeting. Contact Darcy with any concerns at 715-3075149 and leave a message.

Rise Up Recovery Banquet – 11/17/22 – 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Rise Up Recovery is hosting a banquet on November 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Almquist Farms. Tickets are available for $25. Dinner will be provided by Meatheads, and there will be a silent auction. We will have a live program where you will meet the founders of Rise Up Recovery, learn more about the important work that has been happening throughout this past year, and how Rise Up Recovery addresses the gaps in substance use disorder recovery in our community and is helping to save lives. Come for an evening of inspiration and hope as you witness transformation and healing through recovery.

Give Thanks Concert to be held at Conerstone Bible Church – 11/20/22 – 2 p.m.

Sunday November 20 at 2:00 p.m. a concert to benefit Hastings Family Service. A concert that would have happen without the generosity and profound love of music of the following: Randy Rolloff, Pat and Gary Fender, Michelle Doree, Nancy Gesner, Terry Crisp, and Pete Likes. Donations are being accepted at the door to benefit HFS.

Gobble Gait Thanksgiving Day Run/Walk – 11/24/22 8:30 a.m.

Gobble Gait is celebrating 25 years of raising money for Hastings Family Service. The race starts at 8:30 with pre-race festivities starting as soon as people begin to show up on Thanksgiving morning. Register and learn more at www.gobblegait.com Holiday Hoopla – Downtown shops on Second Street 11/26/22 – 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The downtown business association is holding their annual Holiday Hoopla on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to bring folks in for small business Saturday. There will be music in the streets, horse and buggy rides, appearances by various winter characters and deals in all the shops downtown.
