On the afternoon of May 19th, 2021 Alvan Paul Heschke of Hastings, MN died at age 86. Al was born to Frank and Olive (Cullen) Heschke. After high school in 1953, Al helped out on the family farm until joining the United States Army in 1955 where he served his country as a paratrooper. On June 22nd, 1963 Al married Darlene Dick and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Al was a talented mechanic where he provided machine maintenance at Bahls Motor and Implement in Hastings, MN from 1963 until 1990. He also enjoyed working for ERA Grain in later years.
Al is preceded in death by son Scott, parents and siblings Owen (Hattie) Heschke, Doris (Ed) Percy, Leon Heschke and Betty (Don) Schmidt.
Al is survived by wife Darlene and children Robin Baumgartner, Carol (Clinton) Woods, Brenda McIntyre, Paul (Vicki) Heschke and Kevin (Tina Hove) Heschke. As well as grandchildren Michael Baumgartner, Jeni (Josh) Jerger, Christopher Heschke, Amanda (Jay) Grizzle, Faron, Dyson, Hannah and Eli Heschke, and great grandchildren Wyatt Jerger-Horak, Greysen Jerger and Parker and Peyton Grizzle and sibling Lois Anderson and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A private interment will be held with full military honors at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish cemetery in Hastings, MN.
A Life Celebration and Memorial Service will be held May 29th, 2021 in Ellsworth, WI.
