To kick off this story is a reminder, 15th Street West between Pine St and Westview Drive is closed. It looks like the lower half of the road is done; it is not. The road closed signs are still there, and it is still against the law to go around them unless you live in a location that is only accessible by going through them. This is also applicable to the road construction on Highway 316. These closures are for the safety of the workers as well as your own. Please do not bypass them and please follow the detours.

15th Street West is undergoing a major facelift and infrastructure rebuild. New storm and sanitary sewer lines are being installed, new water mains installed, and other utility improvements / relocations as needed are being done. Crews have moved from the lower portion of the road between Lyn Way and Pine Street to the hill that we all love to hate riding bikes up but love riding bikes down.

Currently, between Lyn Way and Hillside Street, crews are still excavating to install the required lines and soon, residents that are on temporary water connections will return to their regular water connections once cleanliness testing has been approved. Contractors will be door knocking to inform residents of the changes to timelines on an individual basis.

With the final removal of the concrete and asphalt driveway materials complete, road grading can begin once the new lines are put in. That is expected to start as soon as mid-week next week.
