The weather is still messing with the tennis team, but they are fighting through the changes and controlling what they can to keep winning, defeating Tartan 6-1 on April 18th.
The lone point for Tartan came on the singles side of the scoresheet with Owen Yeager taking down Michael Johnson 6-1, 6-7 and 7-10 in a long, hard-fought match by both competitors.
Charlie Jensen won 6-4, 6-1.Micah Slapnicher won 6-0, 6-0. Quinton Heiman won 6-3, 6-0.
For doubles: Devon Yang and Nathan Welt won 6-0, 6-1. Matt Darst and Maddox Repke won 6-0, 6-0. Tanner Mattila and Fischer Kauffman won 6-0, 6-0.
These were dominant performances from the Raiders over the Titans, with a lot of great play from the individuals on the courts.
With the cold wet weather, the boys were only able to get one match this week. That means they will be compressing schedules to fit more in over the next week or two. Your next chance to see them in action is at Burnsville on April 26th, then at Hastings on April 27th against St. Thomas Academy and at South St. Paul on April 28th. All matches are scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
