Hastings Public Schools serves over 4,000 unique and individual students. Their strengths and needs range from one end of the spectrum to the other. We are fortunate to have amazing staff members like Ms. Jessica Niedermayer, who helps serve students where they are!

Ms. Niedermayer is currently an MTSS Coach at Kennedy Elementary. MTSS is the “multi-tiered system of support” program that provides students with resources to help them be their best. “As a Specialized Support Coach, I work with students on academic, behavior, and social-emotional interventions,” says Jessica. This fall, Ms. Niedermayer will be an academic and restorative coach who will assist with MTSS.

Ms. Niedermayer has been a teacher at ISD 200 for five years now. She says the best things about her work are laughing and learning alongside her students. “I love building such positive and joy-filled relationships at work. I have fun each day while teaching, and I learn something new from my students all the time,” she shared.

Jessica feels lucky to work here in Hastings. “The staff here is INCREDIBLE and cares SO much about our students. I am blown away by the amazing teachers I get to work with each day.”

“I do not have children in the district. I chose to work at ISD 200 because, from the day I interviewed, I continuously felt the genuine love and joy for education from the staff. Not only is our staff talented and dedicated to student success, but they are amazing people in general. I feel like I have a second family in this district!”

Jessica is inspired by many people, but especially her two sisters. One is a teacher here in ISD 200, and the other is a nurse. When Jessica has free time, she can be found running, reading, hiking, or camping.
