The Raider girls soccer team has been flying around the pitch in some highenergy soccer games the last week. First, they travelled to Simley to take on the Spartans on September 20. Simley scored first for the early 10 lead, but Hastings tied it up before the half expired. Unfortunately, the second half was all Simley and the game finished 41.
Second on the schedule for last week was HillMurray on Sept. 22. Hastings won that affair against a very stout Pioneer team. The final match of the news week was Two Rivers, at home, on Monday night. The Warriors won that meeting 20.
“Our intensity has really been high in the last couple of games,” said Head Coach Paul Armstrong. “We are playing a full 80 minutes at full speed, and everyone is contributing and playing their role at a high level. We're starting to dictate the pace a little bit, learning when to push and when to move the ball. Going into playoffs, we're focusing on making the right choices in the right moments. It should be a fun last stretch of soccer.”
The Raiders have three regular season games left: North St. Paul on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. and Park of Cottage Grove on Oct. 1 at 2:30 p.m., both at home. Then the final game of the regular season is at Mahtomedi, 5 p.m. on October 6.

Stillwater came to town on Sept. 24 and the Ponies handed Hastings a tough 91 loss. Hastings bounced back well against Two Rivers on Sept. 26, but still fell short, losing 32.
