Voters can cast early ballots in local township elections beginning Friday, Feb. 23.
Township election day is Tuesday, March 12.
During early voting, also known as direct balloting, voters can request an absentee ballot in person at county service centers and place their completed ballot in a machine tabulator, similar to the process on Election Day.
This year, early voting for the township election overlaps with the voting period for Minnesota’s presidential nominating primary. That election is Tuesday, March 5.
Township voters are able to cast ballots for both township races and the presidential nominating primary.
Early voting is available at the Dakota County Administration Center in Hastings, the Northern Service Center in West St. Paul and the Western Service Center in Apple Valley. Hours are Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
County service centers and city halls will also be open for early voting Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
