Lebanon Hills Regional Park is the County’s most visited park and the Visitor’s Center site is the epicenter of this park’s activity. This project will provide a storage addition to the rental pod annex of the Visitor’s Center building itself. It will also provide a wood deck and structure to support a yurt to be furnished by the County and installed by the contractor. Additionally, it will look to provide additional site enhancements by way of bid alternates, which potentially includes two outdoor classrooms, and a new dedicated electrical feed, along with air conditioning for the yurt.

Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in this RFB document. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or

modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.

Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the opening bids. It is anticipated that the Dakota County Board of

Commissioners will consider award of the project on April 9, 2024 at its regular meeting, and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. The estimated

construction cost is approximately $435,000.
