HASTINGS Police Reports

May 30 10:28 a.m.

Officers responded to the 200 block of 33rd St. for a suspicious incident. Officers cited Mitchell W. Parenteau, 19 of Maple Grove for misrepresenting his age for liquor purchase.

1:13 p.m.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Florence St. for a report disturbance. The situation was mediated, and no charges were filed.

1:41 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of threats in the 200 block of 11th St. W. After investigation, the incident was documented for informational purposes.

1:41 p.m.

Officers responded to the area of Hwy. 316 and Vermillion St. to assist another agency with a fleeing vehicle. The vehicle crashed near the Hwy. 61 bridge and Hastings Police Officers arrived to assist.

7:37 p.m.

Officers responded to a civil assist call in the 400 block of 17th St. W. The situation was mediated by officers.

May 31 9:02 a.m.

A hitandrun accident which occurred on private property was reported in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. Officers are investigating.

10:21 a.m.

A vehicle was impounded from the 1700 block of Market Blvd.

10:54 a.m.

An unknown suspect damaged a door to a business in the 100 block of 2nd St. It did not appear anyone made entry to the business. There were no suspects at the time.

11:18 a.m.

An officer documented an identity theft report that occurred in Florida. The victim who lives in Hastings had an unknown suspect withdraw over $16,000 from their bank account. Report to be sent to Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

1:15 p.m.

Officers assisted the Dakota County Drug Task Force in the 900 block of Bailey St.

9:37 p.m.

Officers initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Rd. Samuel C. O’Connor, 19 of Hastings was cited for expired tabs.

10:45 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of 6th St. W. regarding a report of damaged property. The case is under investigation.

11:18 p.m.

Officers responded to the 3500 block of Village Trail regarding damage to a vehicle. The suspect was unknown at the time.

11:35 p.m.

Officers located damage to property in the 400 block of Ashland St. The case is under investigation.

June 1 1:12 a.m.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Hidden Ln. for a disturbance. After investigation, a juvenile male was cited for minor consumption.

8:12 a.m.

Officers were notified of a theft in the 800 block of Spiral Blvd. Officers are investigating.

10:18 a.m.

Officers took a report of a pastaction hitandrun accident that occurred at an undetermined location in Hastings.

11:03 a.m.

Officers responded to the 400 block of 6th St. W. on a report of an arrow being stuck in the victims’ vehicle’s tire. The cost to fix the damage is approximately $200300. Under investigation.

12:32 p.m.

Officers mediated a trespassing incident in the 1700 block of Frontage Rd. N.

2:06 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of 11th St. W. regarding a report of harassment. The incident is under investigation.

3:46 p.m.

A found license plate was returned to the police station. The plate was found in the 1200 block of Vermillion St.

6:51 p.m.

Officers initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th St. and Pine St. Desmond M. Buie, 21 of Hastings was cited for expired tabs.

10:12 p.m.

Officers initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Pleasant Dr. and 12th St. W. Todd C. Hilgert, 57 of Hastings was cited for an expired driver’s license.

June 2 11:48 a.m.

An officer was dispatched to tow a vehicle parked in a road construction area of 200 River St. The vehicle’s owner was located and moved the vehicle.

4:16 p.m.

Officers received an afterthefact theft report in the 1100 block of Bahls Dr. There are no supsects.

10:03 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Sibley St. for a trespass call. During the course of the investigation, there was insufficient evidence to establish probable cause a crime was committed. The case was documented.

June 3 4:01 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated in the area of 12th St. W. and Vermillion St. The case was forwarded to the prosecution for charging considerations.

8:56 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Vermillion St. for a reported $30,000 of property damage.

11:11 p.m.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a bicycle near the intersection of 6th St. and Tyler St. Shane A. Romanoff of Hastings was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

11:26 p.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a motorcycle in the area of Cannon St. and 23rd St. W. The motorcycle fled from the officer. The pursuit was terminated.

June 4 12:38 a.m.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of 2nd St. E. The incident was documented.

2:37 a.m.

An officer began a predatory offender investigation.

6:35 p.m.

An officer responded to the area of Ravenna Trail and 185th St. to assist Dakota County Deputies on a traffic stop. The case was documented.

8:33 p.m.

A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of 10th St. E. and Progress Dr. After investigation, Liban Abdirahman, 36 of Minneapolis was arrested for four Scott County warrants.

June 5 3:15 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Vermillion St. on a trespass call.

11:54 a.m.

A found wallet was reported in the 1000 block of Vermillion St.

8:48 p.m.

A traffic stop was attempted on a motorcycle in the area of Vermillion St. near 5th St. E. The motorcycle fled from the officer. The pursuit was terminated.

10:11 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of 18th St. E. for a disturbance call. After investigation, Richard A. LaFortune, 61 of Hastings was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Officers responded near the intersection of Spiral Blvd. and Glendale Rd. for a twovehicle accident. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

June 6 6:10 p.m.

Officers responded to a twovehicle crash without injuries at the intersection of Meggan Drive and Meggan Ct. No citations were issued.

June 7 4:29 p.m.

Officers responded to the intersection of Village Trail and Cty. Rd. 47 for a twovehicle accident.

June 8 3:17 p.m.

Officers responded to the intersection of 145th St. E. and S. Frontage Rd. for an accident involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

June 9 2:33 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Vermillion St. regarding a twovehicle crash with injuries. No citations were issued.

4:59 p.m.

An officer came upon a twovehicle crash in the 1800 block of Vermillion St.

June 11 5:13 p.m.

An officer responded to the intersection of Eddy St. and 14th St. W. for an accident involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
