Hastings Show Choirs, Riverside Company and Dynamic Edition traveled to Totino-Grace on March 5 to participate in their last competition of the year. Show Choir is an intense experience of music, lights and choreographed dance and Hastings has two exceptional groups, Riverside Company and Dynamic Edition.
Riverside Company is the varsity level group of performers and Dynamic Edition is the prep group for the younger performers just learning about the show choir experience. Several times throughout the season, the choirs wake up before the crack of dawn, load up buses and head off to an area school for a full day of competition. Parents and family members are often not far behind for days that typically last 16 or more hours.
At the Totino- Grace competition, Riverside company earned awards for Best Band, Best Vocals and Best Choreography. All those “bests” added up to the title of Grand Champion! Dynamic Edition was awarded first runner up in the prep category, they also won best band and Gill Greeder won best female soloist.
Congratulations all on a well-earned, fruitful season finally!
