Edina Realty of Hastings invites the community to a heartwarming event that combines the spirit of Valentine’s Day with a meaningful cause. “Hearts for Hastings” is set to make a positive impact to our local community. The event will be held Saturday, Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Edina Realty Hastings Office - 1640 South Frontage Rd.
This unique event offers an opportunity for everyone to come together and show their support for those in need.
Participants of all ages can show their support in several ways: • Food Drive: Bring non-perishable food items to help restock the shelves of Hastings Family Service: A lifeline for families in need, this organization relies on community support to fulfill its mission. United Way of Hastings “Food 4 Kids”: This program ensures that local students have access to food on weekends, bridging the gap during the school year when school meals are unavailable.
• Handmade Valentine's Cards: You and your children can craft your own heart-felt Valentine's Day cards. These cards will be delivered to local assisted living and nursing home facilities and to local Veterans Homes, brightening the day of residents.
• A chance to win prizes: For each food item, dollar, or two of your handcrafted cards, you’ll receive a ticket for a chance to win fabulous prize baskets. The drawing for these prizes will take place on Monday, January 22.
