As State Senator Karla Bigham said in her text message to The Journal, “Tony and I got our Fauci Ouchi this morning at the clinic in Hastings,” regarding her and State Representative Tony Jurgens receiving their COVID vaccine.

Senator Bigham issued a bit more formal release in her Capitol Update.

On Tuesday morning I toured the latest vaccine clinic to open in Dakota County with Rep. Tony Jurgens. Both of us were able to get vaccinated while touring the vaccine site! As our fight against the COVID-19 virus continues, it’s great to see Dakota County expand access to the vaccine and make it easy for residents to sign up and get their shot.

Thank you to the Dakota County Public Health Department for the tour of the Pleasant Hill library vaccine site, (1490 South Frontage Road, Hastings, MN). They offer free COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment only. The clinic is prioritizing local residents that are at high-risk of getting COVID-19 and those at risk of getting very sick due to age, health conditions, or work environment.

To sign up for a vaccination appointment go to the Dakota County website. More information about Dakota County’s response to COVID-19 is available at https://www.co.dakota.mn.us/HealthFamily/HandlingEmergencies/ Disasters/Pages/emerging-diseases. aspx Washington County Public Health & Environment is hosting COVID-19 vaccine clinics for eligible individuals who live or work in Washington County. Details can be found here. https://www.co.washington. mn.us/3307/Vaccine-Information
