A Cottage Grove woman was killed after the motorcycle she was driving crashed into an oncoming car in Ravenna Township Thursday.
The accident occurred at Hwy. 316 and Red Wing Boulevard at 4:23 p.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, a 2026 Yamaha TW200 operated by Linnette Julieanne Owen, 45, when the northbound motorcycle crossed into the southbound lanes and crashed head on into a Toyota Camry. Owen was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. Accident reconstruction caused traffic to be diverted from the area for hours.
The Camry was being driven by a 30-year-old Hastings woman.
