Deputies attempted to calm Ashworth, but he was uncooperative and scratched a deputy. When the paramedics arrived, he was restrained, placed in the rear of the ambulance and transported to the hospital. When deputies spoke to the staff members at the group home, they reported that Ashworth had become agitated and upset earlier in the evening which later progressed into various threats of violence including, “I’m gonna kill you”. Ashworth punched and threw a kitchen drawer at one staff member. Another staff member present during the assault tried to help and Ashworth kicked her in the shin and then threatened to kill her while he attempted to rip off a mailbox flag. A court summons was issued.

An investigator was able to locate one of the stolen checks that was cashed and found it altered to be paid to Farah and cashed at a bank in West Saint Paul. The bank surveillance footage showed Farah cashing the check at the drive-up lane. When the investigator called Farah about the transaction, she claimed, “she did not remember the transaction.” A court summons was issued.
