Santa makes annual visit to Bremer Farms

Each year, the light display at Bremer Farms grows, and each year, for one night, Santa and Mrs. Claus pay a visit to the farm to listen to kids and to give out goodies. This year, the Bremer’s added Mike the Elf to the start of the tour. Mike the Elf greeted every car with a song and dance as he collected the donations for Hastings Family Service.

Visitors waited for over an hour to drive through the display. The display has a mix of lights, cutouts, live animals and people, plus it was an educational experience with information about dairy farming mixed in.

Once the visitors made it to Santa and Mrs. Claus, the couple visited with the occupants of the car and at the end handed out a stress cow for anyone that wanted one. The cow was cute and fun for kids to receive. The visitors then moved on to the milk and cookies station to get goodies for the ride home. There, drivers were encouraged to take a left out of the driveway to see additional displays before they headed back into town.

The Bremer Farms Light display is roughly 10 minutes west of Hastings behind Emerald Greens Golf Course. You can easily find the site by entering Bremer Farms Lights on google maps or entering 7048 150th St. East on your preferred GPS application. The light display runs until the end of the year from dusk until 10 p.m.
