Young Sil Kim Allgor will be the featured speaker at the April 28th meeting of the Hastings AAUW branch (American Association of University Women). Allgor’s talk is free and open to the public. The discussion will be held at the Hastings Public House beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Born in South Korea and adopted at the age of 11 to the small MN town of Sleepy Eye, Young Sil Kim Allgor is a veteran teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing with 40 years of experience mostly in the itinerant setting.
At the AAUW meeting, she will discuss her work and experiences in how race, culture and identity affect learning and educational success.
