THE STORY: Acclaimed as a modern dramatic masterpiece, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is the fabulously inventive tale of Hamlet as told from the worm's-eye view of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters in Shakespeare's play. In Tom Stoppard's best-known work, this Shakespearean Laurel and Hardy finally get a chance to take the lead role, but do so in a world where echoes of Waiting for Godot resound, where reality and illusion intermix, and where fate leads our two heroes to a tragic but inevitable end.

Auditions will be held at the Black Dirt Theater Office, located at 213 Sibley Street, Hastings, MN 55033

Callback Information
If callbacks are necessary, they will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 11am at the Black Dirt Theater office and will be announced by email following auditions on July 10.

Please come prepared with one of the provided monologues (link below) OR a 60 second monologue from any Shakespeare play of your choice.
Each audition group consists of up to 5 attendees. Auditioners will perform their prepared monologue and should be ready to play with the director and other members of the group. In addition to the monologue, there may be some additional readings of other moments from the script.
