A record $131,000 was raised to benefit Hastings Family Service (HFS) at the 27th annual Gobble Gait held on Thanksgiving morning. This year celebrated a milestone for the event, surpassing $2 million in support. With the largest sponsorship ever and strong registrations this year, $2,071,300 has been raised since the race began in 1998.
Gobble Gait organizers would like to thank presenting sponsors Edward Jones-Abra Hovgaard, North American Banking Company, and all sponsors for supporting this event, as well as the over 3,000 registrants, volunteers, spectators, staff members, and community.
“It has been an incredible milestone year for Gobble Gait! As a community, through the generosity of returning and new sponsors and participants, Gobble Gait not only achieved another record-breaking year, but also hit an unbelievable milestone of giving. This record donation to HFS ensures that our community has a local resource for food assistance, transportation, and other basic-needs services for neighbors,” indicates Amy Sutton, HFS executive director and CEO.
