Tops at tournaments!

It is that time of year for youth associations to be part of travelling tournaments and at the Journal, we love to share these quick hits with the community. If you have a group event to share with the community for sports or other activities, please email them to me and I will get them published. The most important piece of sharing these events is a quality photo. Please send an original file in. Photos downloaded from social media are often very difficult to print because they lose quality. Please also include the names of everyone in the picture and the photographers name so we can give credit where credit is due! If you copy the flow of what is below, you won’t go wrong! We look forward to seeing the photos come in.

The Raiders Bantam B2 team took home the Hastings-hosted Big Chill Tournament championship title defeating Farmington in a nail-biting 4-3 finish. The Raiders Bantam A Boys team took home third place in the Hastings-hosted Big Chill Tournament defeating St. Michael/Albertville 3-1 who were their only loss previously in the tournament. Squirt C Blue traveled to Moorhead this weekend for the MYHA Squirt C Tournament and finished 3rd place out of 16 teams! In the first game, they beat Champlin Park 9-6. In the second game they beat Chaska Chanhassen Purple 4-3. The third game they lost to Walker 6-4 and took third place in the tournament over Moorhead White 7-2 in game four on Sunday. The Hastings Raiders U10 B1 girls team travelled to Austin for the Battle of the Biscuit Tournament. The girls won 14-0, 15-1, 8-2 and then defeated the Cannon River Royals in the championship 6-2.
