On December 22, 2022, law enforcement received a report of a bank robbery that had just occurred in Inver Grove Heights, Dakota County, MN.

Police learned that two individuals had entered the bank, restrained two employees with zip-ties, and stole $78,265 in cash and an additional amount of coins. Among the cash taken by the assailants was a quantity of 'bait bills' that had been previously recorded by the bank. As a result of being zip-tied and roughly moved during the robbery, one of the employees suffered bruising and scratches.

Police were able to identify and later locate the car the assailants used to get away from the scene.

Inside the vehicle, coins, masks, and a black bag that had been described by the bank employees were located. The vehicle was eventually tied back to an individual (hereinafter witness) who reported to police that they believed one of the people who had robbed the bank was Deundrick Damon Mcintosh (DOB 5-28-1978) (hereinafter defendant). Witness reported seeing defendant the morning of the bank robbery wearing clothes that matched the description of the clothing worn by one of the suspects during the robbery. Witness also reported that the same day as the robbery, they observed defendant with a backpack full of cash and loose change. Defendant spent unusual sums of money in the days after the bank robbery.

On January 11, 2023, law enforcement located defendant and searched his person. Large amounts of $20 bills were located on defendant, including one of the 'bait bills'. Additional large sums of money were recovered during a search of defendant's residence, including three additional 'bait bills'.
