Lois Bauer 1926-2022

Lois C. Bauer (Rother) age 96 of Hastings passed away Dec. 20, at Mayo Methodist Hospital, Rochester.

Lois life was dedicated to the farm and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved watching and feedings birds, playing many card games with her card group, traveling, the red rover trips with her friends and enjoyed the YMCA non-swimming, swimming pool group. She spent many years during the winter months with family and friends in Mission, Texas and summer months at their cabin in Danbury, Wisconsin.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Isadore “Fuzzy” Bauer; son, Randy Bauer; brothers, Leonard “Shorty” and Betty Rother, Edward, Donald, Raynard (MaryAnn), Charlie, Leroy “Jiggs,” and Jim (Diane).

Survived by her loving son, Dell (Sharon) Bauer; grandchildren, Jodell (Jim) Caturia, Jay (Anna) Bauer, Dena (Sean) McGree, and Devon Bauer; step-grandson, Eric (Emily) Christiansen; step-granddaughter, Amy (Kyle) Dietman; great-grandchildren, Cole & Claire Caturia, Axton & Lenox Bauer, and Zoe & Ella McGree; step-great grandchildren, Kyla Severson, Lily & Mason Christiansen; sisters, Marlene (Larry) O’Neill & Sharon Tornes; sisters-in-law, Marilyn, Mary, and Kathy Rother; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A memorial service for Lois will be held Friday, Dec.

30, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Miesville with a visitation from 9:30 11 a.m. Burial will take place immediately following the service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Miesville.
