The following charges were filed in Dakota County last week: Drake Eli Ross, 28, Le Sueur, was charged Dec. 2 with gross misdemeanor false information to police. On Dec. 1, in Ravenna Township, officers noted a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 316 near Orlando Avenue, missing a front license plate. Officers stopped the vehicle and the driver, Ross, provided a driver’s license. Officers observed the driver did not resemble the photo on the driver’s license. A phone number for the name on the license was located and officers contacted him. The person stated they “did not know why the male driver would have his identification, but that he lost his wallet a while ago and had to replace his driver’s license.” Officers spoke to the driver, Ross, who admitted his actual identity. This was confirmed through DVS. Upon DVS confirmation officers discovered Ross had an active felony probation violation warrant out of Dakota County and two misdemeanor warrants out of Ramsey and Scott counties. Ross was booked into the Dakota County Jail.

Tony Berretta Staten, 45, Milwaukee, was charged Dec. 1 with gross misdemeanor driving after revocation. On Sept. 24, a deputy pulled a vehicle over in the township of Marshan for a burned-out taillight. The driver, Staten, provided his Wisconsin ID card and during a routine records check, the deputy was made aware of Staten’s revoked driving privileges. A court summons was issued.

Alex John Snyder, 27, Hastings, was charged Dec. 9 with a felony controlled substance crime in the 5th degree and misdemeanor 4th degree driving while impaired. On Dec. 2, 2021, a two-vehicle accident was reported on I-494 near Pieper Road in Mendota Heights. The Minnesota State Patrol was dispatched and upon arrival the trooper identified the driver of one of the involved vehicles as Snyder. The trooper noticed Snyder showed signs of slow motor movements, had constricted pupils, and slurred speech. Snyder’s walking gait was also unsteady. The trooper noticed a bottle wedged in Snyder’s shoe. The bottle contained 59 pills of oxycodone hydrochloride and six pills of alprazolam. A blood test later confirmed the presence of fentanyl in Snyder’s blood. A court summons was issued.

Michael Lyle Stucky, 50, Hastings, was charged Dec. 12 with a felony controlled substance crime in the 5th degree. On Jan. 17, officers observed a vehicle pass in the opposite direction and ran the license plate. The registered owner, Stucky, had multiple active felony warrants. Officers followed the vehicle as it turned into the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of Elm Street in Farmington. The driver, Stucky, turned the vehicle around in the lot as if to exit. Officers activated the squad emergency lights. It was observed that Stucky reached for his glove box and his hands and face were not visible. The stop was elevated at that moment to high risk and back up was called. Stucky ignored commands to exit and instead continued to reach towards the glove box. An officer drew his service weapon and additional officers arrived. Stucky eventually exited his vehicle and was taken into custody. Officers found two marijuana pipes on Stucky and a clear baggie of methamphetamine weighing 4.30 grams in his vehicle. A court summons was issued.

Justin Lee Erickson, 38, Hastings, was charged Dec. 12 with felony violation of domestic abuse no contact order with two prior convictions.
