Laurie Boston 1959-2022

Laurie lost her short and sudden battle with a rare and aggressive Ovarian cancer at St. John’s hospital on Wednesday November 9, 2022.

Laurie Jean (Fuchs) Boston was born on April 8, 1959 to Madeline (Meier) and Alvin Fuchs in Hastings, MN. Laurie was one of nine children growing up on an apple farm in Afton. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1978 and went on to marry the love of her life, John Boston (of St. Paul) on July 6, 1985. They were then blessed with two sons, Andy and Dan. She worked for several decades at the local grocery stores and was always a faithful Catholic servant.

Laurie was an enthusiastically positive person and loved many things but speci昀cally she enjoyed her grandkids, her snuggly dog Dexter, singing Karaoke, dancing, Elvis, annual Cabin trips to Aitkin, 昀shing, gardening, decorating for the Holidays, and spending time with her family and friends. Laurie was a bright light in all our lives. Her positivity was infectious, and her personality was as dazzling as the brightest star in the night sky. Like stars, her light will continue to shine on us for years to come.

While our grief is insurmountable following the loss of Laurie so soon after John’s passing, we are taking comfort

in the knowledge that they have been reunited in Heaven and free from pain.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Madeline and Alvin; and her brother, Ronny.

Laurie is survived by her sons, Andrew (Becca) and Daniel (Lacey); grandchildren, Atreyu, Wilder, Kyle (Vargas), Kiana, Lincoln, Vincent, Emerson; and her seven remaining siblings, Gloria, Donna, Linda, Charzie, Cheryl, Scott, and Terry, as well as their large and loving families.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 5 p.m. at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St .in Hastings. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery.
