The election season has finally concluded and here are the results from the Secretary of State as of 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
US Representative for District 2 Angie Craig (D) holds on to her seat defeating Tyler Kistner (R).
*Craig – 156,543 – 50.80%
Kistner – 140,845 – 45.71%
For Governor, DFL incumbents Tim Walz and Peggy Flanagan defeat Republican challengers Scott Jensen and Matt Birk
*Walz – 1,257,213 – 52.68%
Jensen – 1,046,898 – 44.02%
Secretary of State Steve Simon (D) defeated Kim Crockett (R) 55.13% to 44.78%
State Auditor went to Julie Blaha (D) with 48.01% vs Ryan Wilson (R) with 46.58%.
Attorney General Keith Ellison (D) defeated Jim Schultz (R) 50.95% to 48.95%
State Senator for District 41 went to Judy Seeberger (D) over Top Dippel (R) in the closest race of the night, separated by just 321 votes.
*Seeberger – 21,536 – 50.33%
Dippel – 21,215 – 49.58%
State Representative for District 41B went to Shane Hudella (R) over Tina Folch (D).
*Hudella – 9,783 – 51.05%
Folch – 9,365 – 48.87%
Locally, for the City Council race, residents had to pick two of four to join the council.
*Angie Haus – 4,303 – 29.02%
*Dave Pemble – 3,732 – 25.17%
Tom Wright – 3,603 – 24.30%
Ian Martin – 3,106 – 20.94%
For the school board one was chosen
*Mark A. Zuzek – 7,584 – 52.22%
Todd A. Kullmann – 5,372 – 36.99%
Pamela J. Onnen – 1,519 – 10.46%
