Charlie Robert Lindberg, age 19, died peacefully at home with his dog Ruby by his side.

Charlie was born Jan. 15, 2003, to Brent and Anne (McDougall) Lindberg in Hastings, Minnesota. He was born the youngest of three children, Travis a wonderful older brother and Tessa a loving older sister. Travis nicknamed Charlie “Diggin” because he liked to dig holes in the backyard when he was little. He idolized his older brother Travis and loved spending time at his house target shooting and spending time with him. When Charlie was born his sister Tessa carried him around like he was her baby, she lovingly helped to nurture and care for him. He always enjoyed spending time with Tessa and going for walks with her and the family dog, they had a very special bond.

He graduated from Hastings High School in 2021, and was looking forward to attending DCTC to become an Electrical Line-worker. Charlie always lived his life to the fullest. He played baseball since he was 5 years old, and it wasn’t long before some of his family members could no longer play catch with him because he threw the ball so hard. He was clocked in at 90 mph as a Junior in High School! He loved his baseball friends and coaches, he always looked forward to spending time with them on the field and after the game!

He was the Green Bay Packers #1 Fan, he loved collecting Packer memorabilia and watching their games on tv with family and friends! He loved ice-cream, root-beer and nachos while attending the Twins baseball games and enjoyed snacking on Cheez-It crackers at home. He especially enjoyed telling all of the Vikings fans how badly they were going to be beaten by the Packers. He in turn, was used to being razzed for being a Packers fan by the Vikings fans.

Charlie was a friend to everyone; and he was fortunate to have a big group of amazing friends. His group of friends were both guys and girls that he spent so much of his time with. He loved talking about history and sports facts, playing bean bags, gaming, going four-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping, and riding seadoo’s. Charlie loved the great outdoors and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He loved his family with all his heart and soul, he was always willing to help them with anything. He had the most infectious smile, gave the most amazing hugs, and made everyone he came into contact with feel special. He is truly missed by everyone. He may have been on this earth for a short nineteen years but his impact was great and he will be cherished forever. Charlie is survived by his parents, Brent and Anne Lindberg; siblings, Travis (Rachael) Lindberg, and Tessa (Ryan) Tix; Grandparents; David (Darlene) Lindberg; Sharon McDougall; Godparents; Pat Schaffer and Lynette Schlosser; dog, Ruby and many uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was reunited in Heaven on Sept. 13, 2022, by his Grandpa, Clayton McDougall and Aunt, Teresa Kaye. An open house visitation was held from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept.17, 2022, at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, MN. A Celebration of Life service was held at 3 p.m. (visitation one hour prior to the service) on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
