Highway 316 closed for repairs until mid-October

Motorists traveling on northbound Highway 316 between 33rd Street and Highway 61 will encounter a full closure and detour of northbound Highway 316 as crews begin a monthlong project to complete the Highway 316 construction project and adjust curb and medians at 31st Street and Spiral Boulevard.

Beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, northbound Highway 316 will be closed and detoured between 33rd Street and Highway 61. Local business travelers or residents should follow the signed detours:

•Spiral Boulevard — eastbound Spiral Boulevard to Glendale Road/County Road 91 and 10th Street/County Road 54.

•South of 33rd Street — 33rd Street to northbound Hwy 61 to access southbound Highway 316 and your destination.

Motorists traveling through the area that do not need to access a residential neighborhood or businesses in the area should follow the signed regional detour using Hwy 61 to bypass Hwy 316 and the closure area.

Northbound Highway 316 is expected to reopen by midOctober. For more details about this project, and to sign up for email updates, visit mndot.gov/metro/projects/hwy316.
