July 25

•At 12:08 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Tyler St. After investigation, Britteny A. Branshaw, 24 of Hastings was arrested for Felony 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.

•Officers responded to a report of burglary at 7:25 a.m. in the 500 block of Commerce Dr. An unknown suspect broke into a business and stole a Milwaukee brand radio.

•At 12:38 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of 6th St. W. to assist the reporting party with obtaining some personal property from an address. Upon arrival, the reporting party was found to have a felony warrant out of Washington County, MN. Tyler Weston, 31 of Hastings was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant out of Washington County.

•At 7:03 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Market Blvd. regarding a theft. During the course of the investigation, officers cited Ahmed Umar, 36 of Minneapolis for misdemeanor theft. The case is still under investigation.

July 26

•At 9:56 a.m., officers located a male with active warrants in the 800 block of 18th St. W. Brian D. O’Neal, 26 of Hastings was arrested and booked into the Dakota County Jail for two active Dakota County warrants.

•Officers responded to a suspicion call at 4:58 p.m. near the intersection of 36th St. W. and Kendall Dr. Sebastian A. King, 27 of Brooklyn Center was arrested for two active Hennepin County warrants.

July 27

•At 5:17 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Market Blvd. for a motor vehicle theft. Officers are investigating.

•At 5:27 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd. on a report of a fresh stolen vehicle. The vehicle and suspect were later found in Inver Grove Heights and Francisco Casteneda, 27 of Brooklyn Center was arrested for felony theft of a motor vehicle.

•A theft report was taken in the 1000 block of Westview Dr. at 6:55 p.m. after an unknown suspect stolen a license plate from a vehicle.

July 28

•At 9:10 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Vermillion St. for a warrant check. Monica L. Hood, 52 of Hastings was arrested on three warrants.

July 29

•At 1:54 a.m., officers responded to Radford Rd. for a burglary call. The incident is under investigation.

•Officers responded to the 1100 block of Sibley St. on a theft report which occurred in June of 2022.

•Officers responded to a dumping complaint at 5:54 p.m. near the 1200 block of S. Frontage Rd. There were no suspects at the time.

•At 11:33 p.m., officers responded to a fight in the 100 block of 11th St. W.

July 30

•Officers responded to the 300 block of 2nd St. E. for a disturbance.

•A theft of a vehicle was reported at 8:48 a.m. in the 1100 block of Sherman Way.

•At 10:36 a.m., an after the fact theft from a storage shed was reported on Shannon Dr.

•At 1:13 a.m., a theft report was taken in the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd. Upon investigation, William Green, 25 of Pensacola, FL was cited for misdemeanor theft.

•At 10:42 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 10th St. E. and Bailey St. After investigation, the driver, Paul Freese, 51 of Hastings was arrested for a gross misdemeanor Dakota County warrant for driving after cancellation, gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation and Felony 5th Degree Drug Possession. The passenger, Bobbie Gordon, 39 of S. St. Paul was arrested for a Felony Department of Corrections warrant out of Wisconsin and a Felony Theft warrant out of Wisconsin.

Accidents

July 28

•Officers responded to 17th St. W. on a report of a two-vehicle crash with no injuries at 1:26 p.m.

July 29

•An officer was dispatched to the parking lot of a business in the 100 block of 23rd St. after receiving a report of a property damage accident involving a parked car with minor damage at 6:29 p.m. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

July 31

•An officer was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash in the 1600 block of Pine St. at 10:01 p.m.

August 1

•Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Vermillion St. at 6:50 p.m. for a property damage accident between two vehicles. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

August 3

•Officers responded to a parking lot of a business in the 1700 block of Market Blvd. for a two-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

August 4

•Officers took a past-action hit-and-run report at 3:00 p.m., which occurred in the area of Hwy. 61 and Spiral View Loop. There were no suspects at the time.

•At 3:15 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd. Information was exchanged between the two drivers.

August 5

•A hit-and-run accident report was taken at 10:22 a.m. in the 200 block of 4th St. E.
