The Hastings Public Safety Advisory Commission and the City of Hastings invites community members to join the over 16,000 thousand communities across America and participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. In its 38th year, National Night Out is an annual communitybuilding campaign that promotes public safetycommunity partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

This year, many neighborhoods across the City of Hastings will host block parties giving neighbors the chance to meet and each other. Visit www.hastingsmn. gov/residents/thingstodo/ nationalnightout to see if there is party in your neighborhood. Our Police and Fire Departments will try to visit as many parties as possible, between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m.

If you don't have a party in your neighborhood, the Public Safety and Parks & Rec Commissions will again host a community National Night Out Neighborhood Gathering at Lion's Park, 1043 5th Street West, in Hastings, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on August 2, 2022. Come play on the playground, meet your local public safety staff and neighbors, connect local community groups, and stay for free hot dog cookout. There will be plenty of children’s activities. If you don't have a party in your neighborhood, join ours. Everyone is welcome.
