On June 23, the Hastings High School Skeet Team competed at the 2022 MN State High School Clay Target League Class 2A Skeet Championship in Prior Lake. More than 40 high school teams featuring more than 250 student athletes competed over two days. Overall, our 14member team (13 male and one female) finished in fourth place out of 13 teams with 448 points. Wayzata took first place with 477 points. Hastings had two Novice shooters, six Junior Varsity shooters and six Varsity shooters.

Hastings team high gun males were Pacer Ruble (74 out of 100) who took second place overall in the Novice Division, Alex Ussatis (86 out of 100) who took fourth place overall in the Junior Varsity Division and Brock Mosher (96 out of 100) who took third place overall in the Varsity Division. Hastings high gun female was Lauren Skov (68 out of 100) who took fifth place in the Junior Varsity Division.

Senior Brock Mosher shot a straight 50 out of 50 and was the only team member to shoot a straight at the championship.

The MN State High School League does not host a skeet championship like they do for trap. However, they do name an AllState Team for the shooters with the top overall averages in the state. Congratulations to the following Hastings All State skeet shooters who will receive a special AllState team patch: Brock Mosher, Cody Frandrup, Brennen Kieffer and Mason Johnson.
