Jan’s Dance talent on full display at Hall of Fame Recital

Jan’s dancers put their talent on display at the Hall of Fame Dance Regionals held April 610th, 2022 at the Excel Center in St. Paul. The dancers captured a studio record of 35 platinums, Eight Judge’s Awards, and 10 High Score Awards in their initial competition of the season.

The Ruby Lines scored well with platinum in lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and clogging. Gem lyrical and Jazz sparkled, both earning platinums and high score awards. Turquoise clog captured platinum as well.

Mini lyrical dancers received high gold and teen lyrical earned platinum for their performances. The Diamond Line did not disappoint in kicking off another season with platinum, a high score award, and Judge’s Award of “Fabulous Feet”. They also combined with Turquoise line to earn high gold in jazz.

The silver line captured a high gold in jazz and combined with choral line in clogging, receiving platinum and a Judge’s “Showmanship” Award. Coral line also received platinum in jazz.

The Purple line received platinum and a high score award for their clogging and high gold in jazz. The Emerald line received platinum, a high score award, and Judge’s “Entertainment” Award. Emerald dancers combined with our youngest line in the competition, Gold dancers, and received platinum for jazz. Gold line also received high gold for clogging.

In the clogging upperlevel lines, Copper clog earned platinum. Giant clogging’s “Lubbock Or Leave It” did not disappoint, receiving platinum and a high score award in the competition.

In specialty routines, the studio’s novelty “Grease” earned platinum and judge’s “Entertainment” Award. Contemporary 3 and Contemporary 1 also captured platinums, and Contemporary 2’s “No Roots” received high gold honors.

The youngest hip hop group, Hip Hop 1 wowed the crowd and received platinum, along with Hip Hop 3. Hip Hop 2 received high gold honors for their routine. Omni jazz’s routine “Fabulous” received platinum and Judge’s “Entertainment” Award. In the Irish number, “Irish Wake Up” the dancers earned platinum. And for the first time, the Hastings Dance Team competed at Hall of Fame, earning a platinum and Judge’s “Entertainment” Award.

In the individual competition, the clogging duet of Maddy Chandler & Ella Homb earned platinum and a high score award. In addition, the jazz duo of Reese Kuglin & Haley Sherry also received platinum and a high score award. The lyrical duet of Taylor Dodge & Isabel Miller earned platinum and a high score award as well. Lyla Rae Likes & Elise Mattimiro also received platinum for their lyrical duet.

In the solo category, Lauren Reuter, Morgan Buck, Brailyn Gintner, and Elise Mattimiro earned high gold honors. Emelia Larson, Amber Puckett (for 2 different solos), Londyn Overlander, Haley Sherry, Devin Mattson, and Ella Meyer all received platinum for their solos. Mekede Radiate received platinum and a Judge’s “Entertainment” Award, along with Kiara Story who received platinum and “Intensity” Judge’s Award.
