Dave Inskeep 1956-2022

Dave Inskeep, age 65 of Hastings, passed away on Friday morning, April 1, 2022, at Hastings Health and Rehabilitation following a long journey of dialysis and health issues.

David Byron was born July 22, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, to Wendell and Joanne (Bates) Inskeep. Following his graduation in 1974 from Dayton Christian School, he attended Liberty College. Dave eventually left Ohio to pursue a career at 3M where he worked as a chemical operator for twenty-six years. After retirement from 3M, he enjoyed working as a security guard at Yellow Freight and other locations.

On February 13, 1982, he married Gwen (Mudder) at the New Life Church in Woodbury, Minnesota. Dave was a humble Christian who would share his faith with others around him. He was an affectionate man to his family, friends and neighbors and always offered comfort in words and hugs to anyone who needed it. Dave loved spending time with his grandchildren, being at the gun range, and adding to his knife and beer stein collection.

He is preceded in death by, his son Jonathan; parents Wendell and Joanne; sister, Debbie Inskeep; and grandparents on both sides of his family.

Dave is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gwen; sons, Jason (Nicky) Inskeep, and Joel (Chelsea) Inskeep; grandchildren, Kjersten, Lucas, Eli, Kylee, and Johannah; sister, Suellen (John) Warren; and many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, with Gordon Gathright of昀ciating.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., and to a reception immediately following the service, all at the funeral home on Saturday.
