RIVER FALLS – The Sons of the American Legion (S.A.L.) will be hosting a Euchre tournament on Saturday, May 21, at the River Falls American Legion, 701 N. Main St., with proceeds going to support the River Falls American Legion baseball program.
The event, open to all two-person teams, will start at noon with signups and lunch. The cost is $25 per player and the afternoon will include cash payouts, rawes and other prizes. Teams can pay on site, but pre-registration is encouraged, either through the Post website at www.americanlegionpost121. org (click on events) or by calling 715-410-4904 and leaving team member names and contact information.
Founded in 1932, the S.A.L. is made up of men and boys of all ages who did not serve in the military, but whose parents and/or grandparents did serve and became eligible for American Legion membership.
“Local S.A.L. members are an important part of our Legion family,” notes Missy Hildebrandt, River Falls Post 121 Commander. “We appreciate their support of our baseball team in addition to their involvement in many other Post programs.”
Those looking for more information about the S.A.L., including membership, can contact Gary Lubich, current Post 121 S.A.L. Commander, at 715-410-4904.
