Each year, the team at Bremer Farms at 7048 150th Street East, just outside Hastings City limits, sets up a wonderful Christmas display for all to enjoy. The lights are on nightly the entire month of December from dusk to 10:00 p.m., so if you missed the special event they held, you can still enjoy the display at your leisure. December 11, from 5-7 p.m. family and friends were on hand to help drive-thru-visitors explore the light display and part of the farm. Families were greeted with instructions of how to navigate the display and as they wiggled through the farm, they had a chance to meet Princess Kay of the Milky Way who talked to the guests about the cows and other aspects of a dairy farm.

Once around the few bends in the trail, the stars of the show, Mr. and Ms. Claus took time away from their other tasks to chat with visitors and dole out some goodies. Finally, more of the Bremer family thanked visitors with a small gift bag that included milk from the farm.

Families were encouraged to bring donations for Hastings Family Service to the special event.

The light and character displays at Bremer Farms are beautifully done covering some of our favorite childhood classic movies like Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, a Charlie Brown Christmas and more.Photos by Bruce Kamick
